    Montpellier Wine Estate is one of Tulbagh’s historic wine farms, established in 1714 and set among vineyards beneath the surrounding Obiqua, Winterhoek and Witzenberg mountains. With its Cape Dutch homestead, hillside chapel and expansive grounds, the estate combines wine, food, accommodation and heritage in one memorable Tulbagh destination.

    Visitors can enjoy tastings of Montpellier’s award-winning wines and MCCs, with cheese platters available during the week and freshly prepared pizzas from Friday to Sunday. The relaxed tasting experience and mountain setting make Montpellier an easy place to spend a leisurely afternoon in the valley.

    Montpellier also offers accommodation and is an established wedding and events destination, with a range of indoor and outdoor venues including the historic chapel, gardens and vineyard spaces. The estate can host events of up to around 150 guests, with accommodation available for up to 80 overnight guests.

    Manley is also an established wedding and function venue, with a consecrated chapel, indoor and outdoor event spaces and facilities for weddings and private celebrations of up to 120 guests.

    Duikersdrift produces small-batch wines and extra virgin olive oil, with private self-paced wine tastings available to cottage guests.
